Fall Enrollment is the one time of the year when Medicare-eligible retirees in the Group Benefits Program can enroll in new coverage for themselves and/or eligible dependents without experiencing a qualifying life event. Fall Enrollment takes place from Oct. 24 to Nov. 14.
During Fall Enrollment, you have an opportunity to enroll in a new health plan if you meet one of these criteria:
- retired with Medicare
- Medicare-eligible return-to-work retiree who chooses retiree benefits
- have an address outside of the United States on file with the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS)
If you don’t want to make changes to your health plan, you don’t need to do anything. Su cobertura HealthSelectSM Secondary vigente continuará.

Annual out-of-pocket maximum (Gasto máximo anual de su bolsillo)
A partir del 1 de enero de 2027, el gasto máximo de bolsillo se incrementará a $8,500 para las coberturas para particulares y $17,000 para las coberturas familiares. The out-of-pocket maximum includes expenses paid toward medical and prescription drug copays, coinsurance and deductibles, if your plan has one.
